About MeAh, but 'tis the story of a small poor Norweign farm boy, born as the result of two drunkards of opposing anatomies at a New Years Eve Party gone right in a small village in the Berkshires.
Or not.
I came to this country in the 70's, by way of a seriously misguided stork who still had a lingering fascination with the 60's. At the time, I had no idea what was really going on, so I just went with it. Looking back, I have no regret that I agreed to engage in a journey on that magic carpet ride, though the odd tattoo of a turkey head on my rear has yet to be satifactorily explained.
Or not.
Hmmm, maybe a joke is a good way for us to get acquanted.
Wanda's dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Because she had to go to work the next day, she told the repairman:
"I'll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I'll mail you a check. Oh, by the way don't worry about my bulldog. He won't bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT, under ANY circumstances, talk to my parrot!"
"I REPEAT, DO NOT TALK TO MY PARROT!!!"
When the repairman arrived at Wanda's apartment the following day he discovered the biggest, meanest looking bulldog he has ever seen. But, just as she had said, the dog just laid there on the carpet watching the repairman go about his work.
The parrot, however, drove him nuts the whole time with his incessant yelling, cursing and name calling.
Finally the repairman couldn't contain himself any longer and yelled, "Shut up, you stupid ugly bird!"
To which the parrot replied, "Get him, Spike!"
Okay, so about the real me.
I currently call Lowell, Massachusetts home, thanks to a combination of a bit of luck (or bad luck, depending on what state you yourself live in) and a spiraling housing market. I work for a legal and business consulting firm in downtown Boston, Massachusetts, which, for all the insanity I am bombarded with on a daily basis, keeps my sense of humor in check. I have been playing with computers in some capacity around the same time I learned to ride a bike, starting on a Zeus Apple IIe compatible system (with dual 360k floppy dries!), and was writing game programs in GW-BASIC under a DOS 3.3 Packard Bell in elementary school for fun. Computers have always been something that I have both thoroughly enjoyed and have come quite naturally to me, and so I swore I would never do it for a living. So, of course, here I am, years later, doing computer-related work for employment (and luckily still having fun doing it).
I am presently married to a wonderful girl who somehow has found a place in her heart to put up with my constant attention to computers and research work. I also am an avid NFL football fan, and also have a small dream of one day racing go-karts in amateur circuits. I enjoy running and giving the ol'best effort at staying in shape including free weights and elliptical. I also dabble in music as a creative outlet.
